Packaging company DS Smith has come up with a new, secure form of cardboard packaging.
The packaging is designed so that any interference with it will be immediately detected, and the recipient can refuse to accept it upon delivery.
As tampering with or trying to open the box will be obvious on the new design, it should be easy for the supplier to detect at what stage of their journey the goods were removed or replaced.
The walls of the box are glued and designed to interlock when folded, restricting access. Perforations at the edge of the walls ensure that any tampering with the box will be clearly visible.
As this product is fully recyclable, it is also friendly to the environment.
