Dunapack Rambox, part of the Austrian Prinzhorn Group, has announced the commencement of construction works on a new corrugated packaging plant in Bolintin-Deal, near Bucharest, Romania.
The facility will operate as a complimentary production site alongside the existing Dunapack Rambox site in Sfântu Gheorghe, Covasna, which is due to received a 'significant technical upgrade', according to the company.
The Bolintin-Deal facility is expected to be operational by June 2019.

“Romania was and still is one of our key growth markets. With the support of local authorities and all the necessary resources at hand, we are pleased to be taking this major step in this vibrant and growing market” , said Cord Prinzhorn, CEO of Prinzhorn Group.
The Dunapack Rambox facility will be 27,000 square metres in size, and will have a production capacity of 180 million square metres per year. It will focus on developing corrugated boxes, industrial packaging for bulk sizes, retail and e-commerce packaging as well as a wide range of other multi-colour packaging solutions.
