French retailer Leclerc is planning an overhaul of some of its private label packaging for next year because of fears some of the materials used may carry carcinogenic properties.
47 of the retailer’s private label SKUs are to be affected by the decision. The health-risk properties were discovered by the non-profit, independent body Foodwatch.
Of the 47 products in question, four have been taken off Leclerc shelves, while another 23 are now in plain packaging. Reviews of the remaining 20 SKUs are pending, according to French trade title LSA.
