Packaging company Pikopack completed a HUF 2.1 billion (€6,9 million) expansion at its Hungarian base in Füzesabony in north-eastern Hungary, the company said.
The project was supported with a HUF 1 billion EU and state grant, and will result in creation of 20 new jobs, according to the Budapest Business Journal.
The company, which is the largest manufacturer of metal packaging goods in Hungary, produces a wide range of packaging items, namely crowns corks, pilverproof caps, technical and fancy cans, aluminium tubes, and in 1999 started the production of three part aerosol cans from tinplate.
Pikopack exports almost 40 per cent of its output. In 2013, the company's revenue exceeded HUF 8.5 billion.
