Mondelēz International has rolled out a twist-and-seal packaging for the Cadbury Duo range in a bid to offer portion control options.
Portion control is one of the most effective ways of helping people to balance their calorie intake, the confectionery giant noted.
Duos Twist & Seal will allow customers to reseal and save a part of the chocolate for later.
The packaging ensures that the flavour, texture and shape of the product remain intact.
'Mindful' Snacking
Kelly Lawrence, brand manager for Cadbury at Mondelēz International said, “We want Cadbury fans to be able to snack in a more mindful way, and we are excited to see what they think of this new product.”
Last month, Mondelēz International Inc narrowly missed Wall Street estimates for quarterly profit as price hikes failed to offset the impact of higher raw material costs and logistical expenses due to supply chain bottlenecks.
In March of last year, the snacking firm announced plans to buy a majority stake in UK protein bar company Grenade, expanding the mix of its healthy snacks offerings.
Mondelēz International offers its products in more than 150 countries across the world.
Its brands include Oreo, belVita and LU biscuits, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Milka and Toblerone chocolate, Sour Patch Kids candy, and Trident gum.
The company has joined the Circulate Capital Ocean Fund (CCOF) as a limited partner and has announced plans to support scalable business solutions to help develop infrastructure for the collecting, sorting, and recycling of plastic waste, including flexible films.
