Packaging giant Smurfit Kappa has collaborated with yoghurt drink producer Yéo to create its new product using 'Pouch-Up' packaging.
Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box created Pouch-Up, which offers various advantages for lightweight packaging, including its Original Vitop tap located on the outside, which is suitable for yoghurt drinks.
Yéo, a subsidiary of the dairy group Sodiaal, has launched its new product called 'La Fontaine à Yaourt', a yoghurt drink manufactured in France. The 1.5L packaging guarantees a shelf-life of 10 days after opening, while being eco-friendly - the environmental impact is 40 per cent less than a plastic bottle.
“We can be innovative and pioneers on the yoghurt market thanks to the Pouch-Up. This packaging suits the needs of the whole family and is user-friendly, convenient to use and eco-friendly – these are advantages that consumers value,” explains Sylvie Barniol, marketing director of Yéo.
Smurfit Kappa is one of the leading providers of paper-based packaging solutions in the world, with around 45,000 employees in approximately 370 production sites across 34 countries and with revenue of €8.1 billion in 2015.
