Portuguese food and beverage company Sumol+Compal has introduced new packaging for its premium juices under the brand Compal.
The popular juices are now available in an easy-grip pack, featuring a sleek and fresh design, with a one-step opening and a smoothly-rounded, slim carton.
Designed and developed by Tetra Pak, the new packaging comprises Tetra Stelo Aseptic 1000 Edge carton and the bio-based WingCap 30.
The new packaging is recyclable, FSC-certified, and offers a plant-based cap made from polymers derived from sugar cane.
Advantages
The eco-friendly packaging will enable Compal to stand out from competitors, share more information, and attract new customers, the company said.
Commenting on the new packaging, Diogo Dias, head of marketing at Sumol+Compal, said, "the Tetra Stelo Aseptic package offers a contemporary look to rejuvenate our brand and add a novelty element to this everyday product, also enhancing on-shelf differentiation."
'Excellent Functionality'
Sumol+Compal chief executive, Duarte Pinto, highlighted that it is "the first brand to launch products in Tetra Stelo Aseptic worldwide", and the environmentally sound packaging "offers excellent functionality for consumers to hold and pour from because of its ergonomic shape."
Presently, the new packages are available in 1,000ml capacity, with new sizes scheduled to be introduced soon, Tetra Pak said.
The product is already available in the new packaging in Portugal and will be rolled out in Poland, Romania, and Brazil in the future.
