Italian retailer Pam Panorama has made a deal with online giant Amazon, installing Amazon Locker self-service kiosks in its supermarkets, according to Gdoweek.
The devices, which have been introduced to 66 stores across 11 regions in Italy, allow customers to retrieve ordered products.
With Amazon Lockers, customers select a nearby secure location to have their packages delivered to. Once the package has been delivered, the customer is sent a code that will allow them to access the locker. If the delivery is not retrieved within three days, Amazon will return the package and repay the customer.
According to Amazon, there are over 2,000 Amazon Lockers in more than 50 cities across the US, as well as growing numbers in Canada, the UK, France, Germany, and Italy.
