Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has announced that it is offering a new range of freshly-baked, gluten-free bread, as part of its 'Vrij van Gluten' (Free From Gluten) private label line.
Starting from Monday, the gluten-free bread, which is enriched with extra fibre and is free from both wheat and lactose, will be available at Albert Heijn's in-store bakeries.

The bread is baked freshly every day in a newly-opened Dutch bakery, where only gluten-free products are made, to ensure that there is no cross contamination.
The new range includes brown bread, raisin bread, seeded breads, bread rolls, and cake.
Albert Heijn says that consumer demand for gluten-free products in on the rise. The retailer expanded its Vrij van Gluten range earlier this year, and the line now features 320 products across several categories.
