Auchan Italy has recalled its private label cots from supermarkets following the discovery that the dimensions are unsafe for new borns, leggo.it reports.
The wooden posts on the cots are reportedly too far away from each other, which means that babies could break limbs, or even suffocate. The cots do not adhere to relevant EU regulations.
The SKUs are produced by the company Amal, and supplied by Auchan Export, which has a number of baby-care products in its portfolio. The cot measurements are 0.6 metres by 1.2 metres, and they carry the barcode 5907751413361.
Auchan said that it is offering refunds to customers that may have purchased the cots.
