British pharmacy Boots is targeting price-conscious beauty shoppers with a range of innovative private-label skincare products to challenge the A-brands in quality and value.
The pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer has invested heavily in developing popular 'only at Boots' products such as the skincare brands Time Delay, Botanics All Bright and No7.
Newly-launched products include the Boots Time Delay Wrinkle Reduce Facial Oil - specially developed by Boots skincare experts to stimulate skin renewal.
Louise Keenan of Boots, told ESM: "We are now selling our anti-wrinkle night facial oil as part of our own-label Time Delay range at Boots." She added that the product performed well in customer trials with females.
Keenan also highlighted the Botanics All Bright line - another private-label skincare range proving popular with shoppers. The Botanics range is developed with world-leading plant scientists at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, England, who approve the lead extracts used in the Botanics range to substantiate their efficacy to ensure the products work.
Meanwhile, the Boots private-label brand No7 continues to innovate - new additions to the range this year include the No7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil (£23.00) and, ahead of the summer season, the No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced BB Facial Sun Protection (£14.95) and No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Anti-Ageing Sun Protection Spray (£14.95).
Commenting on the new sun care own-label products, Dr Mike Bell, skincare scientific advisor at Boots UK, said: “Skin ageing research remains our number one priority at Boots, and we are continually looking at new ways to develop the most effective solutions for women."
He continued: "No7 Protect & Perfect Advanced serums deliver the best anti-ageing results we've ever seen and we wanted to make sure customers could continue to benefit from this technology when using their sun care."
Part of the Retail Pharmacy International Division of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Boots operates 2,511 stores in the UK.
