Brazilian private label supplier Sobel has experienced a 25% to 30% growth in turnover since 2014.
Sao Paulo-based Sobel supplies fabric softener and bleach for Walmart Brasil’s private label brands +Ekonomico and Great Value.
The company says that this positive performance was achieved despite the current crisis facing Brazil, which has generated a high rate of unemployment and a drop in income.
According to Sobel’s commercial manager Marcos Ferreira, this is due to the company's strategy of providing quality products at a fair price.
Walmart Partnership
The company's partnership with Walmart began about 15 years ago. At the beginning, the service was limited to BIG stores in southern Brazil. Since then Sobel has expanded its business with the retailer, and its products are now available in more stores throughout the country.
In addition to its own brand products, Sobel also has an exclusive line called Suprema. The company is also planning to launch a multipurpose and heavy cleaning line project.
