Luxembourg-based retailer Cactus has announced that it has added five new coffee blends to its own-brand Fairtrade-certified coffee range.
The new additions, available in Cactus outlets, include Espresso, Dessert, Mocca, Cafe de Fête, and Décaféiné.
The beans used in manufacturing the coffee blends are sourced from producers in Brazil, Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico.
The coffee is roasted it the retailer's in-house roasting facility - Bruno - in Windhof.
Stable Minimum Price
Cactus is committed to guaranteeing coffee farmers a stable minimum price for their produce.
The addition of new coffee blends to its assortment reflects the company's desire to use its production facility to combat inequalities in the coffee sector, Cactus said in its statement.
The Windhof facility is one of the largest producers of Fairtrade-certified coffee in Luxembourg, with an output of 88 tonnes last year.
