Carrefour Italia has presented a number of new products under its Terre d'Italia private label range, the origins of which can be traced along the entire production chain.
Producers are controlled by Filiera Agricola Italiana which, through the FDAI (Signed by Italian Farmers) label, supports, promotes and guarantees the traceability of the production chain to support the use of Italian raw material.
The first products bearing FDAI guaranteed origin, which are available in Carrefour Italia's stores (Market and Express supermarkets, as well as hypermarkets), include citrus juice and clementine IGP juice from Calabria, Gramigna dell'Emilia (fresh pasta), several dry pasta references from Naples (such as Paccheri and Rigatoni) and frozen Cime di Rapa.
The new references were presented last week at the Marca Private Label Conference and Exhibition in Bologna.

As a result of this partnership, the Italian specialties will find space on the shelves of the 1,089 stores that Carrefour Group operates in 18 regions of Italy.
In addition, several products will also be distributed abroad.
Currently, Carrefour Italia exports over 570 private label products, worth €180 million per year. Of these, €5.5 million worth is corresponds to the 50 Terre d'Italia branded products.
In 2020, the retailer plans to launch 250 new Carrefour branded references, in addition to 40 new Terre d'Italia references.
