Carrefour’s private label beauty line Nectar of Nature will now be comprised solely of organic products, while the non-organic items, which up to now were part of it, will reappear under the newly created sister private label range Nectar of Beauty, lsa-conso.fr reports.
The decision is a response to a certain degree of confusion among shoppers, as well as to the growing importance of organic products in the French FMCG market – a category that is growing quickly and consistently year-on-year.
Both Nectar of Beauty and Nectar of Nature fall under Les Cosmétiques Design Paris, the private label launched by Carrefour at the beginning 2012. Its slogan is "La beauté n'est pas un luxe, elle est un droit” (“Beauty isn’t a luxury – it’s a right”).
