Carrefour is showcasing some 230 of its organic private label SKUs at various locations in Belgium by touring the country in a lorry that can transform into a food truck.
The vehicle, which is making its way along the Belgian coast and also making appearances in Brussels and Nivelles, is showcasing the retailer's organic red meat, poultry, cheeses, vegetables and dry produce, as well as four kinds of bread ‘baked on-site’. It will also promote local products.
The French grocer says it is probably the ‘smallest mobile organic retailer packed with so many products.’
Occupying 16 square metres of floor space, it will stop in the car parks of Carrefour Market and hypermarket outlets, and remain in each location for several days. The tour commenced on 13 July, and will reach its completion on 23 August.
