Irish convenience store brand Centra has launched a new range of baked goods that does not contain unnecessary fats, artificial flavours and colours.
This new range includes an old style cob, batch loaf and 100% wholemeal stoneground soda made with Irish buttermilk.
The new scone recipe is ‘all about tradition using store cupboard ingredients and made with real Irish butter and a whole egg’, the company said.
Other new products launched by Centra, which is part of Ireland's Musgrave Group, include a high fibre seed and carrot bread, backed with multi grain fibre, wholesome seeds and carrots. A new tomato and olive focaccia is topped with tomatoes, black olives, rosemary, pesto and sprinkled with olive oil.
The retailer has also launched a new raspberry and amaretti chocolate brownie and the rocky road biscuit slice. These are both made in Ireland using Belgian chocolate.
