Portuguese hypermarket chain Continente has introduced a new private-label snack range that will be sold exclusively in its stores.
The Madre Mia own-brand range will initially consist of four varieties of French fries: Hot & Spicy, Garlic, Cheddar Cheese, and Valentina Sauce.
According to the retailer, Madre Mia is a “young and irreverent brand, consisting of products with a distinctive image and flavours”.
Brand Identity
The identity of the new brand is inspired by scenes from American westerns, featuring a range of quirky characters including Al Camone, John Stinko, Silly the Kid and Money & Clide.
The retailer says that the new snacks and appetisers are aimed at young urban consumers and are ideal for moments between meals or socialising with friends.
