Portuguese hypermarket chain Continente has received the Silver Medal at the ninth edition of the Pentawards, for the packaging design of its private-label Continente Potatoes product.
The product packaging design was developed in house by a team of designers from parent company Sonae MC.
The Pentawards select the best packaging designs in all formats, based on the creative quality, promoting them among companies, the media, economic and political authorities and the general public worldwide.
Separately, Continente’s cookery app, Yämmi, was honoured in the category of Best Website/Mobile Application during the ACEPI Navegantes XXI Awards, an initiative of the Digital Economy Association that aims to promote and develop the digital economy in Portugal.
The application promotes recipes, helps in preparing meals, and shares the preferences of other users. The proposals made by the app are customised for each customer according to history of use. The app is free and available for Android and iOS.
