Coop Italia Introduces New Personal-Care Line

Coop Italia has introduced a new family of around 80 private-label personal-care products to its stores.

The Io private-label line, which is suitable for both men and women, includes soaps, shampoos, shower gels and bubble bath, while Io Advance is targeted to specific beauty needs and includes shampoos for specific treatments.

The products in the Io range meet new Coop quality guidelines relating to personal-care products. All allergens have been removed, ingredients that could cause irritation are clearly labelled on the packaging, and safety standards are maintained at the highest-possible level.

According to Roberto Nanni, the individual with responsibility for Coop's own-brand product strategy, the new guidelines mean that the range is of a higher quality than products offered by the retailer's competitors.

Nanni added that, due to Coop's commitment to highly qualified suppliers and the support of the scientific community, the Coop personal-care line can guarantee safety and product innovation at affordable prices.
