Coop Switzerland has launched private label barbecuing products endorsed by television chef Jamie Oliver.
Trophée Coop Jamie Oliver, a new loyalty scheme launched on the 13 March, will give shoppers a stamp for every ten francs spent.
When Coop customers have accrued 25 of these stamps, they will receive substantial discounts on the Jamie Oliver-endorsed barbecue SKUs, with some prices slashed as much as 87%.
Among the 16 items on sale are barbecues, knives, and barbecue covers.
For the first time, customers can accrue digital stamps on their smartphones via the Supercard app or on the website.
Stamps will be available in Coop supermarkets, Coop City, Coop restaurants and Coop Brico + Loisirs, Coop@home and the Mondovino online shop, and will be valid until mid-August.
The retail chain has seen an increase in sales and earnings for 2016, with total sales of CHF 28.3 billion (€26.5 billion), an increase of 5.2%.
