Coop Switzerland has introduced three new tea varieties, produced in China, Japan and Rwanda, under its Coop Fine Food brand.
Coop Fine Food Rhubarb Blue Oolong is a traditional Chinese mixture of green- and black tea, which is flavoured with cornflower blossoms and rhubarb. It is available for CHF 7.95 (€7.21) per 100 gram pack.
Coop Fine Food Japanese Sencha is, according to Coop, one of the best Japanese green teas, and is sourced from traditional Japanese gardens, which have frequent sunshine.
As a consequence, the tea’s flavour is sweet and also a little bit harsh, Coop explains. It is available for CHF 8.95 (€8.12) per 130 gram pack.
Elsewhere, Coop Fine Food Bergamot Earl Grey is produced in the highlands of Rwanda, and is flavoured with bergamot, which gives it a fruity taste. The tea is priced at CHF 7.95 (€ 7.21) per 100 gram pack.
The teas are available in all major Coop supermarkets and via the Coop@home online platform.
