Coop Switzerland has announced that it has teamed up with renowned Swiss artist Rolf Knie to commemorate 25 years of its Naturaplan private-label range.
The artist has developed a bespoke illustration ‘reflecting all the richness of nature’, which will be featured on a number of Coop Naturaplan anniversary products, available in its stores for a limited time.
The product range includes boxes of biscuits (in two sizes), a box of Neapolitans, tea, coffee, and a wooden gift box containing three bottles of wine.
The artist’s work will also adorn a recycled PET shopping bag, which has a 30% lower environmental impact than that of conventional bags. For each bag sold, Coop will donate 50 cent to the ProBetail project, a research firm that specialises in organic and sustainable agriculture.
Knie, renowned for his wildlife paintings, isn’t the first artist that Coop has teamed up with to adorn its private-label range. Five years ago, to mark 20 years of Naturaplan, the group commissioned artist Hans Erni to contribute to its packaging.
The Naturaplan range currently encompasses some 1,800 products.
