Spanish retail giant Eroski has launched a new range of private-label cosmetics that are made of certified, natural ingredients.
The range aims to offer products that are essential for daily beauty and hygiene routine.
It includes 16 products including shampoos, conditioners, hand soap, deodorant, moisturisers, serums, eye contour gels, hand creams, and lip balms.
The products, branded as 'belle NATURAL', have been approved by certification bodies Cosmos and Ecocert.
Responsible Use Of Natural Resources
The director of health and sustainability at Eroski, Alejandro Martínez Berriochoa, explained, "The belle NATURAL range responds to many of the challenges defined in our Commitments for Health and Sustainability [...] that range from the respect of biodiversity and the environment, to the responsible use of natural resources."
It ensures that the raw materials used in these cosmetics are previously certified, as well as the methods implemented in the manufacturing process.
The ingredients used in the cosmetics are at least 98% natural, and include shea butter, vegetable extracts, macadamia nut oil, or extracts of flowers and fruits, such as jasmine or guava.
The Certifying Bodies
Cosmos-standard AISBL is an international non-profit association, formed in 2010 with the aim to define minimum common requirements, and harmonise the certification standards of organic and natural cosmetics in the absence of a common European legislation.
Ecocert is an independent control and certification body founded in 1991 by a group of agronomists.
Presently, it supports more than 1,000 companies with its certification process and is present in more than 80 countries.
