At the recent M.A.D.E. exhibition in Paris, ESM: European Supermarket Magazine had the opportunity to meet Eric van Bijleveld, commercial director at Helwa Wafelbakkerij, a family business that specialises in the production of wafer-based snack products for the private label sector.
As he explained, the Netherlands-based company is changing its approach in line with consumer demand, developing products with added protein and using alternative ingredients.
