International Private Label Consult (IPLC) has announced the opening of a new Spanish office, headed up by former Eroski director Carolina Najar.
Najar spent 16 years at Eroski, during which time she held a number of management positions within the commercial and marketing departments, as both a branded and private label marketing director.
She was responsible for the strategic positioning of the Eroski brand and its private label portfolio, which includes brands such as SeleQtia, Sannia, Basic and Belle, products that have enabled Eroski to take a market leading position in the health segment in Spain.
Industry Experience
“We are very excited to include such an experienced expert as Carolina in our team," commented Koen de Jong, Managing Partner IPLC.
"Spain has been on our wish list for many years and by opening an office in this important market, IPLC is now present in nine different EU countries. Our European team of 10 consultants allows us to access relevant networks as well as accepting larger and more complex projects. This underlines our ongoing ambition to further expand our pool of private label professionals with a vast know-how and experience in retail and manufacturing.”
Commenting on her appointment, Najar said that she believed IPLC 'stood out' for its professionalism and range of services to the private label sector.
"I really felt that I wanted to be a part of it," she explained. "For this reason I am very pleased to join this expert private label team where I can make my extensive Spanish retail knowledge and the experience of developing successful consumer brands available to support IPLC clients.
"I particularly look forward to assisting clients in developing strategies to successfully approach the market or to export from it.”
