Ireland was the best-performing nation in this year's PLMA Salute To Excellence Awards, which took place at the PLMA World of Private Label event in Amsterdam.
Irish retailers took home seven Awards, with four going to Dunnes Stores (Simply Better Handmade Sea Salted Caramel & Belgian Chocolate; Simply Better Handmade Cookie & Shortbread Selection; Simply Better Irish Made Honey & Mustard Dressing; Simply Better Fresh Wild Atlantic King Scallops & Gubeen Irish Chorizo).
Three awards were presented to SuperValu (Mini Apple & Raspberry Rice Cakes; Signature Tastes 21 Days Matured Irish Hereford Sirloin Steak; Signature Tastes Cherry & Raspberry Jam).
Polish retailers scooped a total of six awards at the annual event, followed by France with five awards, and Denmark with four awards.
More than 620 products were submitted and selected for consideration for this year's awards, including food, beverages and wines, home and household, and health and beauty products.
