Dutch retailer Jumbo has announced that it has added five new flavours to its Easter egg range.
These include white stracciatella, white raspberry, milk peanut butter, milk nougat, and pure brownie. In total, the assortment now comprises 17 SKUs.
The retailer added that it has also improvised on the existing collection by using finer chocolate and adding a new range of fillings.
Tasting Session
Last week, the retailer organised a tasting session in which a group of customers sampled all the 17 flavours in its Testlab.
Peanut butter and crème brûlée emerged as the top favourites of the panel.
"You even taste the crackle of the sugar layer," a customer said.
New Packaging
The retailer has also adjusted the colour-coding on the packaging, to help customers identify the right chocolate for their needs.
Chocolate eggs are extremely popular at the retailer, it said, with Jumbo selling more than 100 million units annually.
The new assortment is available in all Jumbo outlets in the Netherlands, and it can also be ordered online.
