Dutch Retailer Jumbo Introduces Falafel Range

Dutch retailer Jumbo has introduced a new range of falafel burgers and vegan meatballs in its stores.

The 100% vegetable dishes, which are produced by Dutch bean company Boon, are high in protein and fibre, and they are suitable for vegans.

This move is part of the retailer's plans to introduce 200 healthy products onto its supermarket shelves this year.

Meat-Free Alternative

"We are proud to offer Boon products to our customers," said Ed van de Weerd, commercial director at Jumbo supermarkets, describing them as a "delicious alternative" to meat.

"Jumbo is doing a lot for health this year. These products fit completely into our formula of providing healthy nutrition that is delicious, easy and affordable."
