Kaufland has announced that it has launched a new line of value-added, private-label food items under the branding 'K-Favourites'.
The product offering comprises around 160 items, including pasta, meat, confectionery, snacks, dairy and delicatessen SKUs.
"With K-Favourites, we have developed a quality brand that offers clear added value for our customers – such as exceptional ingredients, a special production location or a long maturation period," said Rüdiger Lukesch, managing director of Kaufland Eigenmarken International.
The Product Range
Products in the range include basil halloumi from Cyprus, cold-smoked tuna with horseradish wasabi cream, and Fairtrade-certified chocolate almonds with hazelnut nougat from Piedmont.
Stefan Hüttemeister, managing director of international brand management at Kaufland, explained, "When developing the K-Favourites brand, we placed great value on innovative, high-quality design and clear communication of the added value directly on the packaging. [...] Private labels are now more than just a remake from A-brands, with the top products from K-Favourites, we are going our own way."
The new line also includes pet food and hygiene products, Kaufland added.
