Lidl France Launches Private Label IPA

Lidl France has launched its first ever private label India Pale Ale alcoholic beverage.

Named L’Abbaye de Vauclair IPA by the German chain’s French arm, the ale boasts an ABV of 7%. It is sold in 33cl bottles for €1.29, and is produced in the north-France commune Arques by the brewer Goudale, according to Rayon-Boisson.com.

On its label, the ale is described as 'like a robe of copper', and is the result of a 'subtle marriage of several American hops, offering delicate, aromatic notes, and a pronounced bitterness.”

L’Abbaye de Vauclair IPA is available in individual bottles or as part of a multi-pack.
