Approximately 30 Lidl supermarkets in the Paris region will trial a range of makeup products under the retailer’s private label brand Cien.
The discounter will invest heavily in the line over the course of 2016, LSA.fr says.
Among the SKUs to undergo the retail trial will be eye shadow, lipstick, lip gloss, and skin foundation. For a limited time, each product will sell for €1.99.
LSA says that the limited rollout will allow Lidl to gauge the market appeal for the SKUs. If it is deemed successful, a national rollout will likely follow.
