Lidl Italia has launched new products within its Italiamo product line. The range now includes a total of 300 products, compared to 195 in 2014.
The expected turnover of the Italiamo range in 2015 is €150 million (an increase of 88% from the €80 million recorded last year), with the range now available in 26 markets around Europe.
The two biggest suppliers of the Italiamo line and of Lidl's Italian private-label products in general are pasta producer Armando De Angelis and cured-meat producer Fratelli Beretta.
Lidl operates over 570 stores and ten regional distribution centres in Italy. More than 80 per cent of the 1,700 articles present in its stores are Italian products.
