The Spanish Organisation of Users and Consumers (OCU) last week released a report in which Lidl's moisturising cream Aqua Cien was named the best in the market.
As informed by huffingtonpost.es, since the report was published, sales of the product have multiplied by as much as 20 times, and after the first 72 hours, the majority of stores in the country were running out of stock.
This is the second time a cream from Lidl has been deemed as outstanding by the OCU.
Miguel Paradela, General Director of the Buying Department at Lidl Spain said: "As it happened two years ago to the anti-wrinkles cream Q10 Cien, this unexpected success has made us run out of stock in record time".
He added that the company is doing "everything in their hands" to meet demand as soon as possible.
