Lidl Germany’s private label sun cream ‘Cien Sun - Sun Lotion Classic’ has placed first in a consumer test for the second consecutive year.
Testing 17 sun lotion brands at the start of the summer, Stiftung Warentest rated each on characteristics including the durability of the protection factor, effective blocking of UVA rays, the heat and cold resistance of the product and the provided instructions for its use.
In terms of Lild’s winning ‘Cien Sun’ sun lotion, these qualities were rated ‘very good’. At €0.92 per 100 ml. the product’s price was also the lowest in the tested range.
Boasting 39 independent regional companies, Lidl employs more than 75,000 people across its 3,200 stores in Germany.
