Contract manufacturer McBride has announced the appointment of Elizabeth McMeikan as a non-executive director to the company's board, effective immediately.
She will also be a member of McBride's nomination, remuneration, and audit committees.
McMeikan has extensive experience in the consumer goods and retail sectors, McBride said in its statement.
She has held senior management positions in operations and marketing at Colgate Palmolive and Tesco.
'Strong Non-Executive Experience'
Jeff Nodland, chairman of McBride, said, "Liz brings valuable experience from customer-focused businesses including Colgate Palmolive and Tesco.
"This, combined with her strong non-executive experience, makes her an excellent addition to the Board. We are delighted to welcome Liz to McBride."
Presently, McMeikan serves as a senior independent director at Unite Group plc, and a non-executive director of Dalata Hotel Group plc.
She is also a non-executive director and the chair of the audit committee of the private company Fresca Group.
Previously, she was a senior independent director at J D Wetherspoon plc and the chair of the remuneration committee chair at Flybe plc.
