Musgrave Group has renewed its agreement with software solutions company, Trace One, which will manage its private label ranges from ideation and specification management, all the way through to final packaging and approval.
According to Trace One, the continuing deal will help the owner of SuperValu to work with multiple local suppliers and seamlessly manage its brands.
Pádraigh Cronin, Group Own Brand Manager at Musgrave commented, “Since implementing Trace One PLM, we have seen consistent 6-10% year-on-year growth in own brand sales, which now contributes 30% of Group revenue.”
He added that, “Trace One PLM has proven to be the ideal solution for this success, allowing us to innovate and expand ranges with a strategic focus on quality and local provenance.”
Musgrave established its relationship with Trace One in 2011 and worked closely with it on the development and launch of SuperValu’s private label range, which is now made up of 1,800 lines and played a central role in seeing the supermarket named Ireland’s most reputable brand in 2013.
“We are very pleased to be renewing our relationship with Musgrave, owner of some of the most trusted household names in European retail,” said Shaun Bossons, EVP Global Business Development at Trace One.
