Austrian retailer Merkur’s new private label, Cooking Made Easy, claims to make cooking good, quality food from fresh ingredients achievable within five minutes.
The novelty range offers a mix-and-match combination of four basic components – a base (with meat, cheese or lentils), a choice of vegetables, a sauce and a side dish – which can quickly be assembled into a varied and interesting meal.
With an extensive range of fresh ingredients and over 2,000 possible combinations, this system allows the customer, who lacks the time or skill to cook from scratch, to opt for a healthier-style convenience food, free from additives and artificial ingredients.
