Italian hypermarket chain Pam Panorama has launched a promotional campaign for its private label extra virgin oil.
The campaign comes only days after the news that ten Italian companies are under investigation for selling fraudulent extra virgin olive oil.
According to Pam Panorama, the three private label lines of extra virgin oil are produced according to even more stringent criteria than required by current legislation. The suppliers are required to follow stringent instructions, by carrying out checks at every stage, from bottling to controls at point of sale, from chemical and organoleptic analysis to tasting panels.
The three private label lines are Pam Panorama (Extra Virgin Oil and 100% Italian Extra Virgin Oil), Pam Panorama Bio and Tesori.
Separately, Pam Panorama has launched 'Semplice e buoni', a new line of private label products designed for those who prefer, for their food, simple ingredients without sacrificing flavour. In addition to gluten-free, the line also includes "less fat", “no added sugar”, “rich fibers” and functional (such as probiotics, anti-cholesterol) products.
