German retailer Rewe has announced that it has launched its private-label Best Choice chocolate pudding, which contains 30% less sugar, in Rewe markets.
The reduced-sugar pudding was voted as the winner in a customer survey which ran from January 15 to February 12, receiving 45.02% of votes.
The campaign is part of Rewe’s 2020 sugar reduction targets, which has seen up to 20 of its own-brand products sugar content decreased, due to changes in the recipes.
Rewe recently announced that Billa, Merkur and Adeg joined together to take part in the same campaign. The winner in that campaign will hit the shelves by the end of July.
Rewe recently released its 2017 full-year report where the German retailer posted a 6.7% increase in revenue to €57.8 billion.
