Danish retailer Salling Group has announced plans to rename and merge more than 6,000 private-label SKUs under one brand.
The products, sold in Bilka and føtex stores, will be rebranded as Salling and feature a new packaging design.
Jean Ladehoff, category director at Salling Group, said, “Good quality and good prices have been the cornerstone of our business for over 100 years.
“That is why we are also excited to be able to collect good, ordinary everyday goods at a good price on the shelves under the Salling name.”
The Range
The SKUs that are to be rebranded include a wide range of products across various categories ranging from canned tomatoes and cold cuts to toilet paper and kitchen foil.
The retailer has already renamed several products including, among others, the Salling ØKO range.
It will comprise approximately 500 organic products that are eco-friendly and affordable.
Ladehoff added, “In Salling Group, it must be easy and transparent to shop for everyday life. That is why we have made an effort to create a product series where customers can easily see and decode what it is they are buying.”
Salling ØKO will be rolled out on store shelves at the end of August, the company said.
