Portugal’s Sonae MC received seven distinctions for its private label offer at this year’s Vertex Awards for international packaging.
The retail group was honoured for the design of the products in its private label brands Continente and My Label, receiving two gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
The gold medals went to its Continente Gourmet Coffee and Seleção Continente Cream Cheeses, while silver medals went to Continente aromatic herbs, the Pão de Forma bread range and the Carne Selecção Continente Fácil & Bom meat line.
Sonae MC also received two bronze medals for Continente Snacks and My Label Baby World/Baby Dream Body Care Creams.
The Vertex Awards are the only global competition devoted exclusively to the art of Private Brand package design.
The awards are judged by panel of industry experts from around the world, and awarded based on Creativity, Marketability, and Innovation.
