Spar Ireland Launches Revamped Private-Label Better Choices Summer Range

Spar Ireland has launched its new private-label Better Choices summer range, featuring healthier snacking and meal options.

Once again represented by Republic of Ireland football captain Seamus Coleman, the Better Choices range aims to encourage healthier food choices on-the-go and at home.

'Berry Nice' Options

The new menu includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes, made with Spar store ingredients from across Ireland. Products include ‘no-bake’ breakfast bars, banana and berry ‘nice’ cream, steak skewers with avocado salsa, whole wheat pitta pizzas, and a variety of healthy snack ideas.

Each meal and snack is formulated to ensure a balanced mix of vitamins and minerals, the retailer said. The range of healthy snack and food options ensure that eating in or snacking on the go doesn’t require a compromise on health or wellbeing, it added.

The own-brand line also caters to different nutritional needs, offering low-fat, high-protein, and gluten-free products.

Eating Well As A Priority

Colin Donnelly, Spar Ireland sales director, commented, "We are delighted to have healthy-living advocate Seamus Coleman on board again this year as our Spar Better Choices initiative ambassador.

“At SPAR, we are committed to providing our customers with the best, and we feel passionate that eating well should be a priority, whether you are on the go or eating at home.

“With the creation of the new Spar Better Choices recipes and our great range of fresh and nutritious products, customers can expect to find the right choice for them under the tree at Spar."

Parent company Spar International posted €34.5 billion in global retail sales in full-year 2017.
