Leading suppliers from across the private label industry have been honoured at the WABEL Grocery Awards in Paris, part of the WABEL Grocery Summit, which concludes today (10 November).
Among those honoured were Morato Pane (in the Appetisers category), Rialto (Bread), Concept Fruits (Canned Food), Sphére Production (Crisps & Snacks), Premium Pet Treats (Pet Food), Le Bontà (Soups & Sauces), Gruppo Mangiarsano Germinal (Biscuits), Regency Teas (Breakfast), Pallas (Confectionery), ChocDecor (Seasonal Confectionery), Amma Chocolate (Chocolate) and Quinoa (Cereal Bars).
Stephen Wynne-Jones, ESM: European Supermarket Magazine editor, which is a media partner of WABEL, was among those presenting awards at the event.
The Awards followed a busy day of meetings between retailers and suppliers, as well as a series of eye-opening presentations from retailers including Poland’s Piotr i Pawel and Dansk Supermarked, as well as insight from Innova Market Insights, Mintec and Euromonitor International.
The WABEL Grocery Summit also played host to an Innovation Supermarket, where some of the latest innovations and new product developments were on display for delegates.
