Swiss retailer Coop has added around 100 SKUs to its Sapori-d'Italia range of private label products, in order to offer customers a wider range of authentic Italian products.
In 2017, Coop established the first Sapori-d'Italia market in Aarau and shortly afterwards, three more stores were opened in Fribourg, Bern and Zürich.
This success led Coop to offer the products in its supermarkets throughout Switzerland.
Italian Specialities
Olive oil, sauces, classic antipasti and 11 pasta varieties are among the products offered.
Production of the products takes place almost exclusively in Italy, with Coop employing food specialists to seek out quality products across Italian markets. Products are then carefully selected and brought back to Switzerland.
"The passion of every person involved in this process flows into the products of Sapori-d'Italia," said Daniel Holenstein, the brand manager of Sapori-d'Italia. "That is what ultimately appeals to our customers as well: true Italian vitality or just a touch of 'la dolce vita' for the home."
