Tesco has issued a recall on two varieties of its private label slow cookers because of the possibility that a small number of them may pose "a risk of electric shock."
The products in question are three-litre cookers and 5.5-litre cookers with KDG-branded plugs. These were sold between July 1 2015 and December 31 2015.
"We have identified that on a very small number of units, the plug may unexpectedly break, exposing live parts - posing a risk of electric shock," a statement on Tesco's websites read.
"As a precautionary measure, we are recalling affected model numbers fitted with KDJ plugs from customers. If you have an affected slow cooker please stop using it immediately.
"Please return the affected product to store where a full refund or replacement will be given. No receipt is required."
The products retailed at £10 and £17 respectively.
