Italian retailer cooperative Unicoop Tirreno is to launch a permanent price reduction initiative in 62 stores across Tuscany, reports Gdoweek.
The operation involves some of the biggest selling Coop brand products, which boast strong health and safety guarantees, including food, household care and personal care goods.
Some 700 products are included in the initiative, such as pasta, oil, eggs and biscuits.
This promotional initiative is not temporary; rather it is a long-lasting downward repositioning of prices by around 12%.
According to Marco Lami, the president of Unicoop Tirreno, the initiative is in line with families' reduced purchasing power, as well as the retailer's pledge to offer high-quality products.
