Upmarket UK retailer Waitrose & Partners has expanded its pasta offering by adding three new pasta dishes to its premium No.1 range.
The dishes, made of select ingredients and authentic pasta from Puglia, add 'restaurant flair' to home-cooked-meals, the retailer said.
The pasta used in the dishes is made of wheat with high protein and gluten content, which gives it a firm texture.
It also contains fine flour and free-range eggs which makes it fine and silky with a beautiful golden colour.
The New Range
The new additions include - Shin Of Beef & Chianti Tortellini, Mushroom Ravioli, and ’Nduja & Burrata Ravioli.
Shin Of Beef & Chianti Tortellini pasta is a silky fresh pasta filled with tender shin of beef, slow-cooked with Chianti, carrots, rich beef stock, shallots, and leeks.
It is accompanied by a serving of sage butter and aged Parmigiano Reggiano.
Mushroom Ravioli pasta is filled with Portobello and porcini mushrooms cooked in white wine and cream.
It comes with a serving of black truffle, porcini butter, and grated pecorino cheese.
The ’Nduja & Burrata Ravioli is filled with spicy ’Nduja and creamy burrata, served with Pomodoro sauce made of roasted tomatoes and olive oil, finished with crunchy pangrattato.
