Carrefour has opened its 50th Brazilian Carrefour Express store in the city of São Paulo, in a move it says ‘reinforces the company’s investment in a sector that offers customers improved levels of flexibility and comfort, focusing on a daily range of fresh and ready-to-consume items.’
The first Brazilian opening under the banner took place in August 2014. The newest outlet is positioned in the Metrô Tucuruvi shopping centre, in the northern part of the city.
Three other Carrefour Express shops are also in shopping centres – those in Shopping Metrópole (in São Bernardo do Campo, SP), CENESP (Centro Empresarial São Paulo) and Mais Shopping in the state capital.
‘To guarantee the most user-friendly shopping experience, the layout of Carrefour Express stores has been specially designed with customer shopping habits in mind,’ the retailer said, ‘and the products are arranged in such a way as to make it easier for customers to find their desired items.
