Mary Ellen Adcock has been appointed as Kroger’s vice president of retail operations, taking the place of the outgoing Marnette Perry.
Adcock will begin in her new position on May 16 2016. She moves from being its acting Columbus division vice president of merchandising, a role she has held since 2014.
Previous to that she was vice president of deli/bakery manufacturing in Kroger's general office, as well as holding other positions in the retailer’s manufacturing division.
According to Wallstrt24.com, Rodney McMullen, Kroger CEO, said of the appointment, "Mary Ellen brings to her new role a strong track record of success leading teams across our business, including manufacturing, operations and merchandising. She is the right leader to help shape our vision for store operations as we continue investing to grow.
"Mary Ellen will be a great addition to our senior leadership team."
